Important Messages

Please send your child(ren) with a backpack that is big enough to hold an 8x11 folder.  Also, please provide an extra change of clothes for your child(ren).  **Always remember to write their name on all of their belongings**

 

REMINDER: NO birthday celebrations at Meadow Crest.  Please do not bring treats to school.

It is time to think about summer activities!

 

One great resource is the King County Library. Participate in their summer reading program by visiting your local library and picking up an early learning activity sheet. Read together fill out the sheet and your child can earn prizes for their hard work. The libraries also offer free story times throughout the summer. For more information visit https://kcls.org/.

  • Summer park play dates are a great way to keep in touch with your child’s friends during the summer. Renton has many fantastic neighborhood parks. In addition to the Meadow Crest playground, visit some other parks in the area. 
    • KennydaleBeach Park is small and contained with beach access and a play area on the beach. Life guards are also on duty. 
    • Lake Boren in Newcastle has an updated playground, paved walking paths, and a fishing dock. 
    • Thomas Teasdale Parkhas a large grassy area, playground equipment, and a huge ball field.
    • Heritage Park has an updated playground, kid friendly rock-climbing walls, and a flat walking trail that is great for tricycles.
    • Liberty Park in Downtown Renton has a playground, ball fields, and is next to the Renton Library.

  • There are many free summer activities in and around our community.
  • If you are planning on traveling by plane this summer, check out TSA Cares (https://www.tsa.gov/travel/passenger-support or (855) 787-2227). This program provides extra assistance to passengers with disabilities including expedited security checks.  
  • Access Ready Rosie for many more activities that you and your child can enjoy together over the summer.

The park and the field located on the North side of the building are closed to the public during the school hours of 9:15am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday except for Holidays and School Closures.

 

  

Pets are not allowed in the park and discouraged in the field.  If you do bring your dog to the field, please clean up after it.  Our children play there daily.  

*Meadow Crest Early Learning Center is part of the Renton School District and follows their calendar*

Reminder:  The playground and the grass field (located on the North side of our building) are closed to the public during school hours.  The grass field is not an off-leash dog park and owners need to clean up after dogs.  Our students use the field.
