Lottery Application Process Now Open for 2024-25

The Sartori Lottery application process is now open through February 11th, 2024 at 4:00 pm.

Sartori Lottery Application Deadline for 2024-25

is 2/11/24 at 4 pm

Students living in the Renton School District Boundary and students whose parents/guardians are full-time employees of the Renton School District may apply for Sartori during the application period. Applications received after the due date at 4:00 PM will NOT be considered for enrollment for 2024-25.

Sartori Elementary School is Renton School District’s only option school. This means that it does not have an official boundary. Families who wish to have their student attend Sartori Elementary School must submit an application. For a given grade level, if there are more applications than openings, a lottery will take place to determine placement and a wait list.

As a STEM school, Sartori will provide students the opportunity to develop a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics competencies over the course of their elementary school career. Research shows that children need educational experiences in which adults foster and guide their innate curiosity and ways of thinking about the world into formal learning experiences that allow them to develop meaningful understandings of STEM disciplines. Early exposure is key to engaging students in STEM in that students’ future career choices in STEM pathways are often made by age 10 (Archer & DeWitt, 2017). We have a science coach that writes our curriculum relevant to our community and positions students as problem solvers and change makers. STEM is our culture, not a curriculum.

WHAT MAKES SARTORI UNIQUE?

  • Science, Math, and Literacy Coach
  • 2 STEM Labs
  • Art Lab – Art Docent Program
  • Community Room
  • All Staff as Learners
  • Computer Science and Computation Thinking units
  • Social and Emotional learning embedded
  • Positive Discipline and Inclusion focused

All NEW students who would like to attend Sartori MUST enter via the lottery application process. NO students are directly enrolled without completing the lottery application process, including students who live in the surrounding neighborhood, siblings of current students, or Pre-K students enrolled for services (such as speech therapy).

If your student’s sibling would like to attend, be sure to apply before the deadline!

Share the news with anyone you know who may have a student who would like to attend.
