Inclusive Preschool
Meadow Crest Early Learning Center provides an Inclusive Preschool program for 3 to 5 year olds. We use an inclusive model in our classrooms, blending both typically developing community peers and students with special needs.
- The program is provided by the Renton School District at no cost for children with special needs, starting as early as their third birthday. Transportation is provided for students who qualify with special needs.
- Community peers must be three years old by August 31st and pay a tuition (children who turn 3 by September 30th can enroll on a 30-day trial basis). Tuition is currently $237.50 per month. Our transportation department does not provide transportation for our community peers. If your child is on an IEP (Individual Educational Plan) they are not eligible for this program.
- Lives within the Renton School District boundaries (now accepting Choice Transfers for out of district students if space is available for our tuition program only)
State certified early childhood special education teachers, classroom assistants, speech and motor therapists provide a classroom program focusing on skills learned through play. Class size rarely exceeds 16.
With our increased emphasis on Inclusion, we've been able to add extra spots for our tuition program. Please consider joining our high-quality educational program.
Preschool meets Monday-Thursday for 2 1/2 hours with both morning and afternoon sessions available. Our morning session is from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Our afternoon session is from 1:30-4:00 PM Monday-Thursday.
Support Services: Provided by certified Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT), School Nurse and School Psychologist.
